Technical Overview

Somos® Taurus™ is an advanced stereolithography (SLA) resin engineered to provide thermoplastic-like performance in 3D printed parts. It combines robustness, dimensional stability, and a specified surface finish in a distinctive charcoal gray appearance. The material's primary differentiator is its ability to deliver both high strength and significant heat resistance, a combination previously difficult to achieve with SLA materials, making it a reliable choice for demanding industrial applications.

Engineered for durability, Somos® Taurus™ offers superior toughness and maintains its mechanical properties in elevated thermal environments. It has a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of up to 91°C, allowing for functional testing and deployment in applications such as under-the-hood automotive components or industrial equipment housings. The material’s high tensile strength and impact resistance ensure parts can withstand significant mechanical stress without failure.
