An ultra-soft PolyJet material for creating highly realistic, functional organ models for surgical training and medical device validation.

TissueMatrix™ is a unique PolyJet™ material specifically designed to mimic the extreme softness and biomechanical properties of human tissue. As the softest material in the Stratasys portfolio, its key differentiator is its ability to produce anatomical models that provide realistic tactile feedback when handled, sutured, or cut. Due to its inherent properties, TissueMatrix™ is not used as a standalone material; instead, it is digitally blended with other materials like Agilus30™ and the Vero™ family to achieve a wide spectrum of Shore hardness values, precisely replicating various tissue types from myocardium to liver tissue.
Models printed with TissueMatrix™ allow medical professionals to experience a true-to-life haptic response. The material's low tear resistance and flexibility enable functional simulations including suturing, incisions, punctures, and dissection. This allows surgeons and students to practice complex procedures in a risk-free environment, developing muscle memory and improving patient outcomes.
TissueMatrix™ is exclusively compatible with the Stratasys J750™ Digital Anatomy™ Printer (DAP). It requires SUP706™ soluble support material for clean and efficient post-processing. To ensure proper curing and prevent part damage, the printing process is automatically configured to use a single UV lamp when TissueMatrix™ is present in the material mix.
TissueMatrix™ supports the entire medical development lifecycle. In educational settings, it enhances anatomical learning with hands-on models. For surgical planning, it allows teams to rehearse complex operations on patient-specific models. In medical device development, it provides a reliable platform for testing device functionality and usability on anatomically accurate, tissue-documentation-ready where applicable models, accelerating the path to clinical use.
