Fit for design and engineering reviews

Consider J35 Pro when a team needs to handle a housing, check assembly interfaces, compare a grip or see through a transparent region before releasing a design. Combining rigid and flexible regions can make a prototype more useful for a specific review than a single-material shape.

Define the decision first: appearance, fit, movement, handling or a limited functional test. Record the dimensions and properties that matter. A visual or tactile prototype does not by itself validate the service life of a production component.

Understand the material distinctions

The current OEM material list includes VeroUltra WhiteS, BlackS and ClearS, Elastico Clear and Black, ToughONE WhiteS, DraftGrey and Digital ABS Plus. These are PolyJet material routes with different purposes. Review the specific formulation and print mode rather than treating rigid, transparent and rubber-like output as equivalent.

J35 Pro supports grayscale and transparent modeling. If full-color appearance is central to approval, compare the J55 Prime, which provides full-color PolyJet and up to five simultaneous materials. For sustained heat, structural loading or a specified production thermoplastic, compare an appropriate FDM route and test the actual part. Larger or taller models require a different build platform.

Account for the complete workflow

GrabCAD Print supports preparation of the job, but tray packing, orientation, support access and cleaning still affect the usable result. The round tray is specified by area; it is not a rectangular box. The maximum model height is 155 mm, within a 158 mm printable height.

The OEM lists SUP710S and water-soluble WSS150 support. Confirm the material/support combination and plan the required removal equipment and handling. Office-oriented machine design does not remove the need to review the room conditions, cleaning space and material-handling instructions.
