Material route for application and process review.

ULTEM™ 1010 Resin is a polyetherimide (PEI) thermoplastic, one of the strongest and most durable FDM materials available. Its key differentiator is a unique combination of high strength, stiffness, thermal stability, and broad chemical resistance. This material delivers reliable, specified parts suitable for some of the most demanding manufacturing environments and is available in both a general-purpose and a certified grade for specialized applications.
Engineered for stability, ULTEM™ 1010 Resin maintains its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, with a heat deflection temperature of 214°C. This makes it capable of withstanding steam autoclaving for sterilization. Its high tensile strength and rigidity ensure that parts maintain their structural integrity under significant mechanical stress, providing a reliable, lightweight alternative to metal components.
This thermoplastic offers excellent resistance to a wide array of chemicals, including automotive fluids, hydrocarbons, alcohols, and aqueous solutions. The Certified Grade (CG) version also carries biocompatibility and food-contact certifications, making it suitable for producing custom medical tools, food production aids, and other specialized equipment.
ULTEM™ 1010 Resin is processed using FDM technology and is paired with a breakaway support material (SUP9000B™) for efficient post-processing of complex geometries. The material is available in a standard grade for general applications and a certified grade (CG) for medical and food-contact requirements.
The material's defined properties make it an ideal choice across the entire product lifecycle. It is used for creating functional prototypes that must endure harsh testing environments as well as for manufacturing production-oriented end-use parts, custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
